WATCH OUT, KIDS ABOUT! NEW SIGNS TO BE INSTALLED AT ROBERTSON PUBLIC SCHOOL
New school zone signs will be installed at Robertson Public from next week to improve safety for students and all road users.
Member for Goulburn Pru Goward said the NSW Government has provided $5,000 for the additional signage on Caalong Street as part of the Road Safety Program.
“Roads and Maritime Services carried out a review of the school zone signage after feedback was received from the community,” Ms Goward today said.
“The review found motorists traveling on Caalong Street may not immediately be aware of the school zone for Robertson Public School.
“As a result, additional signage will be installed on Caalong Street to create a safer environment for students by improving visibility for oncoming motorists.
“Student safety is paramount, which is why the additional signs are being installed so kids can get to and from school safely.”
Motorists are reminded school zones across NSW operate between 8am and 9.30am and from 2.30pm to 4pm on gazetted school days.
Work to install the new signs will be completed by Friday 1 June, weather permitting.
