The Southern Highlands will be the latest region to benefit from the NSW Government’s ongoing reforms to TAFE NSW with the organisation’s Chief Information Officer (CIO) and two associated positions to relocate from Sydney to Moss Vale.

Member for Goulburn Pru Goward and Assistant Minister for Skills Adam Marshall said the relocation of a key corporate role demonstrated the Government’s commitment to increasing TAFE NSW’s presence in regional NSW.

“The relocation of these jobs to Moss Vale is such welcome news and proves the Government is committed to investing in regional NSW,” Ms Goward said.

“The Moss Vale TAFE is such a valued training institute in the Southern Highlands and I’m pleased to see the Government reaffirming its support of the organisation in our local area.

“I hope that other government agencies follow suit by relocating more jobs from Sydney to our region in the future.”

Assistant Minister for Skills Adam Marshall said the relocation of TAFE NSW’s CIO to the Southern Highlands reflected the ethos of the Government’s One TAFE NSW Reforms to increase the organisation’s presence and support of regional communities.

“The NSW Government’s vision for TAFE NSW is for it to build on its competitive strengths and enhance the flexibility and efficiency of its service delivery while contributing to local economies,” Mr Marshall said.

The CIO will join the organisation’s General Manager Technology Management and Support who is already based in Moss Vale.
