SAY ‘NO WAY’ TO BULLYING

Member for Goulburn Pru Goward encouraged communities in the Goulburn electorate to come together to stamp out bullying on Friday, March 17.

More than 1,500 schools across Australia are set to take part in the seventh National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence.

The day is run for school communities across the country to take a stand against bullying, and is also an opportunity for schools to share their anti-bullying policies, strategies and programs with the wider community.

Ms Goward said the day was a great opportunity for locals to stand as one against bullying and violence.

“Bullying whether it’s in schools, the workplace or online is totally unacceptable, and it’s important that we as a community stand up to bullying wherever we see it,” Ms Goward said.

“I congratulate everyone participating in this national day of action, and thank them for helping make our local community a safe, welcoming and inclusive place for all.”
