$240,000 NSW GOVERNMENT FUNDING INJECTION FOR GOULBURN REGIONAL ART GALLERY

Member for Goulburn, Pru Goward, today announced the Goulburn Regional Art Gallery will receive $240,000 in arts funding over the next three years to engage and build more audiences.

“The Goulburn Regional Art Gallery is a hub of artistic talent and passion and I am thrilled the NSW Government is supporting the organisation with $240,000,” Ms Goward said.

“This funding will support a range of touring and in-house curated exhibitions and public events that promotes local artists from the Goulburn region. The Gallery is particularly focused on engaging young people and Aboriginal people in arts and cultural activities through their outreach program to schools and the Goulburn Correction Centre.

“I am proud our regional art gallery is receiving funding to support the innovative and high quality arts and cultural programs it is renowned for,” Ms Goward said.

Deputy Premier and Minister for the Arts Troy Grant said the government is proud to provide funding for a diverse range of programs that will further enrich the State’s dynamic arts and cultural sector.

“This funding is a key commitment under the government’s new Create in NSW 10-year policy framework to extend the reputation of NSW as the leading state for arts and culture, while supporting job creation and the visitor economy,” Mr Grant said.

“The NSW Government is committed to providing people with access to a diverse range of arts and cultural experiences, no matter where they live.”
